PHTHISIS CASES. AUSTRALIA SHOULD TAKE STEO\ T G MEASURES. Received January 15, 10 a.m. CHRISTIANA, Jnr.r.nry 14. At the Science Congress, Dr Umpston, of Perth, urged strong measures to prevent the landing of phthisis cases. Since 1838, he said, the declining death rate from the malady had been progressive and uniform in all States except West A u-tralia.
