Mr Frank O'Cunnell, of the' 1..c:il of the Bank of New South 'Wales, ha' received notice of his ■transfer t> Wellington. It is probable that the Hen. A. W. 'Hogg, Minister for Labour and Customs, will he ban"ju2ted at ITukanui •shortly. The elevation of Mr A. W. Hogg, M.P. for Ma-tcrton, to Ministerial rank, was a s<ibj.;et of reference at the meeting ; f the Council of the Masterton Clamper of Commerce yesterday. The President (Mr G. C. Sutrm'Tell) said that whatever the political views of members were, they wojpi all agree that Mr Hogg had been a loyal member to his district, and very loyal to the Chamber/havinz arduously assisted the Chamber in every matter in which his assistance was asked. Mr Summerell moved that a letter of congratulation be sent to Mr Hogg. Other speakers concurred in what Mr Summerell had said, and the motion was carried unanimously.
