Mr A. F. Foote, accountant at the Carterton Branch of the Bank of New Zealand, has received notice of transfer to the Bank's Wooclville Branch. He will be succeeded Ly Mr S. H. Poole, of Manaia. Mr W. F. Masfey, leader of the Opposition, has notified the secretary of the Hawera committee which is Arranging an Opposition banquet to he held on February 2nd, that lie will he able to attend. Nurse Annie McComull, a lady well-known and greatly esteemed in Masterton, died in the Masterton Hospital yesterday. The deceased had been ailing for Home time pa at, and only entered the Hospital 011 Tuesday, death being due to apoplexy. It is believed that there are no,relatives of the deceased in Now Zealand.
