AMUSEMENTS.
THE TITTELL BRUNE [SEASON. Miss Tittell Brune, one of the most popular actrest.es that have visited the colonies, will make her re-appearance in Masterton on Friday next, and will stage Cicily Hamilton's clever romantic comedy "Diana of Dobson's." Miss Brune is supported by Mr J. C. Williamson's combined dramatic company, which includes Mr Thomas Kingston, Mr Greghan MacMahon, Mrs Robert Brough, and Miss Emma Temple. The comedy to be staged here is a dramatisation of that popular book "Diana of Dobson's. Miss Hamilton, who wrote the book, is also the The piece has been a great success wherever it has been staged. The box p'-an will open to-morrow morning at Miss Rive's.
STAR DRAMATIC COMPANY. As a theatrical event the first appearance in Masterton of J. C. Williamson's Star Dramatic Company is of great interest to lovers of good drama. "The Thief" and "Zira" are the two plays selected for the season here, which is limited to two nights, and will commence on Saturday next, January Kith. Both .these plays come with reputations of highest merit, and have been acclaimed in terms of enthusiastic admiration by the Australasian Press unanimously. The company is headed by Mr George Titheradge, Mr Henry Kolker (a young and clever romantic actor of high repute), and Miss Ola Humphrey (leading lady of the Company). These three artists are 3upj. ported by one of the best companies Mr Williamson has ever organised. The box plan will be opened at Miss Rive's on Wednesday morning next.
ADA CROSSLEY'S CONCERT. There has been good booking for the concert to be given by the Australian contralto, Madame Ada Crossley, and the large number of seats that have already been reserved for Wednesday night's concert point to a record house. Reports from Sydney and Melbourne are to the effect that Madame Crossley is at present in greater voice than ever she was. Mr Jay Ryan, the baritone, appeared quite recently with enormous success in grand opera. A feature of the concert here will be the re-appear-ance of the young Austrailan pianist, Mr Percy Grainger. The box plans are at "The Dresden," and day sales can be purchased at Miss Rive's.
