SHAKESPEARE MEMORIAL
NATIONAL THEATRE
SUGGESTED. LONDON, January S. The Shakespeare Memorial Commitees and sub-committees recommend that the public be asked to equip and endow a national theatre, at the cost of half a million, and that the Lord Mayors and Mayors be asked to open subscription lists. It is hoped that the theatre will be opened by the ter-centenary of Shakespeare's death, in 1916.
