By Telegraph—Press Association NAPIER, January 10.
The annual tournament of the North Island Boiling Association will open on Monday on the greens of the Napier and Greenmeadows Bowling Clubs. A little rain fell la3t night, but to-day the weather is cool and fine. At a meeting of bowlers la&t night it was decided by the visitors to whom the question was left that the champion fours should be played in three sections (A, B and C) instead of four as origin ally proposed. It was also decided that in the finals each of the three winning section teams should meet the others, and that in the event of the three being all square after their round a draw should then take place for a bye in the concluding contest. The champion fouiN, gfor which 34 teams have entered, are expected to occupy four or five days. The citizens match will then be played on the sudden death system for valuable medals subscribed for by supporters of bowling in this district.
