BRITISH AND AMERICAN RIFLES.
A COMPARISON. Received January 7, 10.20 a.m. SYDNEY, January 7. A sub committee of the Rifle Association, appointed to enquire into the success of the American team in the, match fired during the visit of Admiral Sperry's fleet, has presented its report. The committee considers that the American rifle has little advantage over the British, and that the visitors' success wsi« chiefly dye to the superiority of tlklf ammunitio.., which, however, was specially prepared.
