THROUGH THE KING COUNTRY .

ADVENTUROUS AUCKLANDERS

[ By Telegraph—Pre.' Association

GISBORNE, January 4

Two Aucklanders, Messrs Moore and Moodie, arrived at Waikaremoana on Saturday evening on a walking tour from Whakatane. They deviated from the usual track, going by way of Waimai/a Valley. It rained every day of the journey, which occupied a week, during which they paw no white man. They found the Maoris very hospitable, and made a call at Rua's camp. r The two travellers are coming on to Giabornc to natch a steamer for Auckland.
