CALEDONIAN CONCERT.

A HIGH-CLASS ENTERTAINMENT. The Town Hall was packed last evening, when the concert given un'der the auspices of' the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was held. The programme was a very high-ciass one, embracing excellent items throughout, and met with so much approval that it was eleven o'clock befdre tne entertainment concluded. The visiting artists and Mr Harry Hall were particularly well received, being accorded spontaneous encures. The programme was as follows: — March and reel, Pipers and Dancers; song, Miss Fuller; song, "Trumpeter, " Mr E. Parkes, Wellington, encored; song, Annie Laurie" Miss E. Jago; sketch, "The Irish Orchestra," Mr D. A. Kenney, Wellington, encored; song, "Lochnagar." Mrs Torrance; song, "Afton Water," Mr S. J. Johnstone; recitation, "McBrae's System," Scotch, Mr Peter A. Eddie, Palmerston North, encored; song, "Jessie's Dream," Madame M. Groome, encored; sopg, "Bonnie Dundee," Mr D. Gilchrist, Timaru, encored; song, Mr Harry Hall, encored; dance, Highland Fling, successful dancers at the sports; song, selected, Miss F. Elkins; song "Scotland Yet," Mr T. C. Irvine, encored; recitation, "Sandy's Trip on a Slow Train," Scotch, Mr Peter A. Eddie, encored; song, selected. Mrs Torrance; song, Gathering," Mr S.J.Johnstone; sketch, selected, Mr D. Kenney, encored; song, "Blue Bonnets Over tha Border," Madame Groome, encored; song, "Love Cjuld I Only Tell Thee," Mr E. Parkes; dance, Sheauntriubhas, prize dancer at sports; song, selected, Mr Harry Hall, encored. The accompanists were Misses W. Jones and Waddingfeon and Mr D. A. Kenney, Wellington. Mr F. Hunn acted as stage manager. The gathering terminated with the singing>of "Auld Lang Syne," and the "National Anthem."
