A FATAL FALL.
By Telegraph-—Press Association WELLINGTON, December 29.
Constable Mahoney, in charge of the Upper Hutt station, telegraphed to the Wellington authorities this afternoon that the dead body. of a man named John McCarthy had been found on the Moonshine road this morning. McCarthy was last seen on the evening of the 27th inst, about four miles distant from the Upper Hutt. The body was brought to Upper Hutt. where an inquest was held, the verdict being that deceased met his death by falling over a cliff.
