CRICKET.
M'ANAWATU v. MASTERTON. A match between the Manawatu representatives and an eleven selected from the Masterton Clubs was commenced' on the Parle Oval on Saturday last. Manawatu went first to the wickets and made 135 runs, Greer (49), Ongley (20) and Roberts (13) being the chief contributors. The local team in their first effort were disponed of for the small total of 56 runs, (Swan (13), and Ferry (11) being the only two batsmen to reach double figures.
