STOCK MARKET.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held iheir usual forlsnightly sale at Eketahuna nn Friday last. There was a fair yardirg of sheep and cattle, prices showing an improvement on previous sales, and run as follows:-—Sheep—Ewes wi,th lamb at foot to 3 5s 2d, 2-tooth mixed sexes 10s 4d. Cattle—Fat cows £4 12s, 3-year steers £3 10s to £4, yearling steers 25s to 395, weaner calves 15s, bulls £4, Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as followsWe held our fortnightly sale at Eketahma on Friday in Messrs Abraham and Wil'iams' yards. Entries came in up to advertised numbers in cattle; but the line of 4-tooth wethers advertised did not come forward. All classes of sheep bold well under the hammer, and we quitted our whole yarding. Cattle showed an improvement and sold well, everything selling under the hammer. We had a heavy yarding of "attle, and made a total clearance. We quote —Ewes and lambs (per head lambs counted) 8s Bd, ewes and lambs (lambs not counted) 13s 2d, 4tooth wethers 12s 6d, fat and forward ewes lis. Cattle—4-year bullocks £5 7s 6d, 2 and 3-year old steers £4 2s 6d to £4 15s, 18-month steers £2 6s 6d to £2 10s, yearling heifers 32s 6d, springing cows to £3 ss, fat cows (iight) £4, Hereford bull £5 2s fid, other bulls 27s 6d to £4 10s.
