GAMES AT MASTERTON.
The largest Saturday attendance of bowlers seen on the Masterton Green for a long time assembled on Saturday, when a number of very enjoyable friendly games, and o a number of trophy matches word decided. The green was in capital order, the play being of a most keen character. A noticeable feature of the Club's matches so far is the enthusiasm that is being shown in the game by new members of the Club, many of whom are showing great "form" for comparative learners. The results of the tropl y iratches were as follow: Star—Wilkes (holder) 25 beat Cochrane 13. Championship Singles—Pyke 27 beat J. Smith 7. Handicap Singles—Rose, 2 handicap, 18 be it Rigg 14; W. Pragnell 20 beat Boagey 15, Hollings beat Townsend 2; Cochrane 23 beat Wallace 20. Pairs —Beale and Ewington, 1 handicap, 26, beat Robiesoh and McEwen 19; Wallace and Hollings, 1 handicap, 29 beat Bartlett and W. Pragnell 13; Cochrane and Ashton 31 beat Prentice and Wilkes, 3 handicap, 22; Feist and.Boagey, 4 handicap, 32 beat J. Hunter and Johnson 9; Elder an! O. Pragnell 33 beat Inder and Cameron 18
