Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. on Wednesday was 25 points; and for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. on Thursday 44 points.
By Telegraph—Press Association. The following is Captain Edwin's forecast to 3 p.m. to-morrow Moderate to strong southerly winds are probable northwards of New Plymouth and Napier, and westerly elsewhere. Soon the barometer will rise slowly north of Hokitika and Kaikoura, falling elsewhere.
