LASCARS RETURN TO THEIR SHIP. Received December 17, 10.45 p.m. SYDNEY, December 17. The Lascars concerned in the riot yesterday, the outcome of a dispute over native affairs in India, and who refused to return to their ship, and were subsequently locked up. after a night in the cells consented to return to their ship. The charge of desertion was withdrawn. Two of the men were charged with assault and fined.

The Lascars belonged to the P. and 0. liner Mongolia..,
