Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. on Sunday was 7 points; and for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. on Monday 2 points. CAPTAIN EDWIN'S FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press; Association. WELLINGTON, December 14. The following is Captain Edwin's forecast to 3 p.m. to-morrow.— Northerly winds, strong to gale, are probable north of New Plymouth and Napier, and strong easterly winds thence southwards with a falling barometer evsrywhere. Rain probable in most parts north of Hokitika and | Kaikoura.
