Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly sale at their Pahiatua yards on Tuesday, December Bth, 1908, when they offered pome first-class cattle of all sorts and Full advertised numbers cams forward. Bidding was brisk throughout, and every entry changed hands. We quote: 2tooth ewes, shorn, 10h 2d; 2-tcoth wethers, shorn 103; 4 tooth wethers shorn, 12s 7d; 4 tooth woolly wethers, 16s. Cattle —Fat cows, £li 17s 6d to £4 2s 6d; 3 and 4 year steers, £4 to £4 lis; steer?. £2 to £2 8s; yearling steers, 22s to 30s; speyed 2-year heifers, £2 16s; 2-year empty heifers, £2 to £2 ss; yearlings, in poor condition, mixed sexes, 16s to 20s; bulls were well competed for. Yearling bulls, 22s 6d to 355; 2 year bulls, £3 5s to £4 7s 6d; 3 year bulls, £4 15s to £5; store cows, empty, 33s to 52s 6d. Messrs Abraham and Willims, Ltd., report at their Pahiatua yards on Tuesday, December Bth, as follows:- Medium yarding of sheep, and a good yarding of cattle. Bidding was brisk, and sheep showed an advance. We quote: Mixed hoggets, shorn, 10s lOd; ewes and lambs, woolly, poor condition, 13s 6d. Cattle —3 year steers, £3 10s to £4 3s; yearlings to 18-months steers, 30s to 40s; 2\ year steers, £2 12s to £2 15s; fat and forward empty cows, £4 3s 6d; empty cows, £2 to £3; springing heifers, £4; 15-months heifers, 33s 6d; mixed fifteen cattle, 35s to 375; yearling heifers, £1 to £1 10s.
