MEETING OF LICENSEES AND OTHERS, PETITION TO BE LODGED AGAINST POLL. GRAVE IRREGULARITIES TO BE ALLEGED. A meeting of the hotelkeapers of the Masterton Licensing District, and also others interested in the beer, wine and spirit industries, was held yesterday in Mr C. A. Pownall's offices in connection with the recent Local Option Poll. After a full discussion it waa unanimously decided, ft) a petition in terms of thC Act to Validate the poll on the grounds that irregularities had taken place in CQflHectjdn V?Uh the poll, and which were ref)oMfe£l % thp" trade's scrutineer, Mr W. PoV^Ralli The petition will be lodged im" mediately after the count of the votes is concluded on Friday.
