*A PUNITIVE EXPEDITION. Received December 1, 9.40 a.m. SYDNEY, December 1. H.M.S. Prometheus has returned from the New Hebrides. She reports that Aramasanga, one of the murderers of the Greig family, was given up by his tribe, and that the prisoner, incensed at the treachery of his people, led the punitive expedition to the village where the ringleader in the murder was. The ringleader was shot dead. Aramasanga was transported to Fiji for life.
