THE LICENSING BILL.
GOVERNMENT IN NO HURRY TO DISSOLVE.
"THE TIMES"' OPINION,
OTHER PAPERS' REMARKS
Received December 1, 8.20 a.m. LONDON, November 30. The "Times." referring to Mr Birrell's declaration at Warrington, says:—"Everything indicates that the Government is in no hurry to dissolve. They apparently prefer to drop the Licensing Bill to introducing a new measure devoid of extravagant features." Thq, "Daily News" interprets Mr Birrell to mean that the next session will be the last of the present Parliament. "The News" favours an immediate appeal to the country either ori the Licensing Bill or the House of Lords Veto Bill, which will be introduced early next session.
