ATTEMPTED MURDER. PENAL SERVITUDE FOR TEN YEARS. Received November 26, 8.30 a.m. CALCUTTA, November 25. Roy Chowdhury, a student, was sentenced to ten years' penal servitude for his attempt to shoot Sir A. Fraser, Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal. BOMB THROWN AT A TRAIN. PREMATURE EXPLOSION. Received November 26, 9.55 p.m. CALCUTTA, November 26. A bomb filled wish dum dura bullets was thrown at the Eastern Bengal train near Agarpara, evidently with the intention of killing Mr Hume, Public Prosecutor. The bomb exploded prematurely, and no one was injured.
