CRICKET.
AUCKLAND v. OTAGO
By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, November 17.
The Otago Cricket Association has telegraphed to Mr J. H. Watta, secretary of the Auckland Cricket Association, that the only dates suitable for them to visit Auckland are 23th, 29th, and 30th December. If Auckland cannot accept these dates, the Otago Association points out that they will be unable to corns North this season. In rep!y, Mi Wiitr? has prjieste:i that it is unfair to expect Auckland to accept these dates, in view of the fact that Canterbury comes on January Ist, thus leaving one day's interval between the two matches, but if it is absolutely impossible for Otago to play on the 26th, Auckland will accept 28th, 29th and 30th, on condition that the match finishes on the 30th.
