MELBOURNE, November 17.
In the Victorian Championship the spectators were given an opportunity to witness the play of the Americans, Beals-Wright and Heath. In the Singles, Alexander beat Heath easily, 6-3, 6-1, 6-2, while Beals-Wright similarly disposed of Baird, the Geelong champion, 7_s t 7_i, 6—l. Beals-Wright show'ed himself a perfect master of every stroke, and his anticipation of his opponent's returns was only equalled by Brookes. In the Champion Doubles, Brookes and Wilding defeated Doust and Diddams, 4—6, 6—o, 6-4, 6—2.
