The Emperor of China is reported to be dying, and has been transferred to the death chamber. An edict has
been issued appointing Prince Chun, as Regent, and his son Puyi as heir presumptive.
DEATH OF THE EMPEROR

PEKIN, November 15,
Palace reports state that the Emperor of China died on the night of November 10th. It is officially stated that he died yesterday afternoon. The Board of Foreign Affairs announces that the Dowager Empress ia mortally ill.
ALLEGED MURDEROUS ATTACK,

SYDNEY, November 16.
Private cables received by the Chinese Reform Party in Sydney from China allege that the Emperor was murderously attacked some days ago, and succumbed to his injuries. Yuan Shih Kai, a member of the Wai-Wu-Pu, a Board of Foreign Affairs, is said to be implicated.
