THE FISHER MINISTRY. LONDON JOURNALS EXPECTANT. Received November 13, 9 a.m. LONDON, November 12. The newspapers are expectant regarding Mr Fisher's Ministry. The "Daily News" has predicted that there will be no bold legislation, but says that Mr Fisher arid his colleagues will have a chance of making their mark in the matter of administration. SUGGESTED POST FOR MR DEAKIN. Received November 13, 9 a.m. LONDON, November 12. The "Morning Post," discussing outstanding questions between the Commonwealth and Britain, suggests Mr Deakin for the Australian High Commissionership. As representative of Australia his prestige and intellectual equipment would greatly assist in the Imperial education of British Governments and tfte British public. SYDNEY NEWSPAPERS VIEWS. Received November 13, 10.14 a.m. SYDNEY, November 13. The "Herald" says:—"lt must be admitted that the Fisher Ministry is in some respects an agreeable disappointment. The counsel of moderate members of the Caucus has prevailed, and instead of an impossible set of colleagues Mr Fisher seems to have been able to associate with himself men largely in sympathy with his own views." The "Telegraph" considers the Ministry fairly representative of the Labour Party, and has no fault to find with its personnel. LABOUR CONGRATULATIONS. Received November 13, 10.45 p.m. LONDON, November 12. The Labour member'' of the House of Commons have cabled congratulations to Mr Fisher.
