NOMINATIONS. BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, November 6. The following candidates have been nominated for Auckland Central:—A. Kidd, A. E. Glover. For Auckland West—R-. Thompson. For Eden, John Bollard. WESTPORT, November 6. V. T. M'Namara, Prohibitionist and Government supporter, has been nominated for the Buller seat. HOKITIKA, November 6. Henry Leslie Michel has been nominated for the Westland seat. HASTINGS, November 6. George Spencer Clapham, Government, was nominated for the Hawke's Bay seat this morning. DUNEDIN, November 6. Thomas Mackenzie was nominated for Taieri to-day. The following nominations have been made:—Dunedin North—A. R. Barclay (Government); Tuapeka—R. Scott (Opposition) and J. A. Macpherson (Government). PROSPECTS OF THE GOVERNMENT PARTY. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 6. In the course of an interview with a "Herald" representative to-night the Prime Minister stated that the election prospects so far as the Government party were concerned are very good indeed. The feeling of friendship towards the Government was very good throughout the country. "Our supporters," he said, "are in good heart, and I feel confident that the results of the elections will be in every way in our favour." Sir Joseph says that so far as can be judged there will be a dozen second ballots in the Dominion. He will speak at-Auckland to-mor-row night, and at Pahiatua on Tuesday night.
