Whistlecraft ran a mile and a quarter comfortably on the plough in 2min 17 l-ssec, Flitaway beat Broadsword over half a mile in 49 3-ssec, Vasa easily ran five furlongs in lmin ssec, Glenculloch beat Stratagem over a mile and a quarter in 2min 11 4-ssec. Prim covered a mile in lmin 43sec, Elysian beat Day Beam over half a mile in 50 2-ssec,Husbandman beat Sister Anne over five furlongs in lmin 4sec, Mahuta was better than Riflemaid over a mile and a quarter in 2min 11 4-ssec, Truganini was easily better than Penates over six furlongs in lmin 18 2-ssec, Downfall defeated Signer in a mile and a half go in 2min 44sec, Lapland covered a mile and a quarter on the plough in 2min 14 2-ssec, Zimmerman and Master Delaval finished a mile together, the last seven furlongs occupying lmin 32sec. Glenullin and Moloch did a mile and a half in 2min Glenullin being particularly pleasing. Dawn ran six furlongs in lmin 20sec, and Diabolo beat All Red over a mile and a quarter in 2min 14 4-ssec. Probable and Heorthen lan a mile and a quarter . There was nothing to choose between them. : The last mile was done in lmin 44sec. St. Joe and Armamento did a similar task. Stormant, Lyrist, and Whatakura gave a capital display of fenc» ' ing. Master Soult defeated Vologoa over five furlongs in lmin 2 3-ssec " Bobrikoff, with a light weight up,, ran six furlongs in lmin 15 4-ssec. Apa beat Frisco by several lengths ! over a mile and a quarter. Saga ran ' ten furlongs in 2mm 13sec. After breakfast Provocation and Expansion ran half a mile in 47 3 with a strong nor'-wester behind them, Provocation finishing in front undea a strong pull. A number of otheJ two-year-olds did fast times over four furlongs.
