MANAWATU SHOW.

By Telegraph—Press Association. PALMERSTON N., November 5. The Manawatu Show was continued, to-day in fine though windy weather. The attendance was larger than on the corresponding day last year. There were exceptionally fine entries in the horse classes, excepting thoroughbreds for which there was only one entry. H. McNiven's Juggler won the championship in weight-carrying, hacks. J. Scoon the championship in single harness horses. The Romney Marsh classes ftere the strongest in the sheep classes, Gray Bros, showing the champion ram, and G. E. Allen the champion ewe. Lincolns wers not so good as last year. Wm. Perry scooped the pool and showed the champion ram and ewe. The English Leicesters, S. R. Lancaster exhibited the champion ram and SlackJßros. the champion ewe. In Borders P. Nielsen's ram was champion, and Slack Bros, exhibited the champion ewe. In Shropshire Downs J. P. Corrigan won the championship in rams and ewes. Ellis Bros, exhibited the champion Southdown ram, and S. RLancaster the champion ewe. Cattle were strongly represented. Shorthorns and Herefords were well lepresented. The championships were won as folluws: —Shorthorns, bull, M. Williams' Royal Duke IX. champion, Mt. Herbert Estate s Lord Herbert reserve champion. Shorthorn cow, Mt. Herbert Estate's Duchess of Oxford XIV. champion, Dalziell Bros'. Blair Athol Duchess reserve champion. Ayrshire bull, W. P. Harris' Litte Arab champion, Cuff Bros'. Young Champion reserve champion, Ayrshire cow, Sack Bros'. Blanch 11. champion, Porirua Mental Hospital's Maggie reserve champion. Herefords, heifer, G. F. Moore's Aberdeen. Polled Angus bull, A. S. Carlyon. Jerseys, E. Eagle bull. Ilolstein Fresian bull, Newton King. Miss Brigg's Rawhiti won the lady's hunters' competition, and Miss Abbott was second and third. The steeplechase was won by MacNiven's Pickpocket with Gaisford s The Vagrant second.
