A TIT-FOR-TAT PROPOSAL. Received November 5, 9 a.m. LONDON, November 4. In the House 'of Commons, Mr Harold Cox, Liberal, asked whether, in view of the exclusion of British Indians by certain self-governing colonies, the Government would consider the desirability of introducing legislation rendering whites born or domiciled in such colonies ineligible for appointments under the Indian Government. Mr T. R. Buchanan, Under-Secret-ary for India, replied in the negative.
