Taf t declares that the issue in connection with the Presidential election will be whether the Trusts shall be regulated by the Republicans or extirpated under Mr Bryan. The people must, says Mr Taft, choose the method "of revising the tariff and decide whether they shall maintain the home market for American products, giving labour its proper reward, or cripple industries by reductions, regardless of the difference in wages at home and abroad. Mr Br -an declares that the great issue is 'Shall the people rule?"
