STOCK MARKET.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We held a very successful sale on the Carterton Showgrounds on Thursday, when we offered all the fat ewes, wethers and lambs that were shown on account of Messrs Morrison Bros., Ranish, Wiggins Bros., C. Campbell, W. Howard Booth, W. Fisher and S. Reid. The only buyers in the field were those representing the local butchers, Gear Meat Co., and the Meat Export Co., but bidding was very spirited and good prices were obtained. We quote:—Fat ewes,lss to 16s; fat wethers, 17s to 18s; lambs, 14s 6d to 17s 6d. As follows on account of W. Howard Booth—6 lambs at 17s 6d, 6 at 17s, 10 fat ewes at 16s, 5 fat wethers at 18s, 10 fat wethers at 18s 3d. On account of Messrs Morrison Bros.—6 lambs at 16s 6d, 5 ewes at 16s. On account of Mr H. Ranish—s lambs at 14a 6d, 5 lambs at 14s 9d, 5 lambs at 16s 3d, 8 lambs at 15s fid, 1 wether 16s, 5 wethers at 18s, 5 ewes at 16s, 5 ewes at 17s 6d. On account of Mr C. Campbell—6 fat ewes at 15s, 10 lambs at 15s 9d, 5 lambs at 16s. On account of Mr W. Fisher—--2 lambs at 15s 6d, 5 lambs at 15s 3d, 1 ewe at 20s. On account of Mebsrs Wiggins Bros.—'s lambs at 14s 9d, sat 14s 6d, sat 15s. On account of Mr S. Reid—l wether at 20s.
