AN IMPENDING TIMBER FAMINE.
Received October 30, 9.32 a.m. SYDNEY, October 30. The Forestry Commission report indicates an impending timber famine, there being only 36 years' supply of timber in the State. The report recommends increased royalty, and prohibition of the export of ironbark and tallow-wood for ten years.
