ACCIDENT TO A TRAIN.
ENGINE AND TRUCKS DE- . RAILED. By Telegraph —Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, October 28. Yesterday morning a train from White Cliffs to Darfield' was derailed at Gientunnel. The engine ran into a siding, taking some trucks of coal for the city, when a rail broke. The engine and trucks left the rails, ran into a ditch, and struck a clay bank. A special train left Christchurch and brought the passengers in at 1.30 p.m., v " ' The track was old ( and under repair. Men engaged on the work, who were camped a mile away, put matters to lights, although rain was fallingheavily.
