LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL.
TENDER FOR TRAMRAILS ACCEPTED. Received October 28, if. 17 p.m. LONDON, October 28. The London County Council accepted the tender of a Leeds firm at £24,000 sterling for tram rails. The Moderates and Labourites rejected Mr Benn's amendment to accept a Belgium tender at £21,000, and apply the difference in giving work to unemployed in connection with the tramway extension.
