PIPERS AND DANCERS.

A strong branch of the Pipers and Dancers' Association of New Zealand was formed on Saturday evening at a met u'ng held in the Scottish Society's Hall, and thirty-four members joined. A strong executive was set up, formed largely of local pipers and dancers; INVERCARGILL, October 26. At a meeting of the Qrepuki Athletic Society it was unanimously resolved that he Society* resent the action of the Pipers and Dancers' Association in usurping the functions of the New Zealand Athletic Union, and that the Society refuses to recognise the authority of the Pipers and Dancers' Association. «'
