A VESSEL WRECKED.
CAPTAIN ANH SEAMAN DROWNED. Received October 23, 10.55 p.m. SYDNEY, October 23. A heavy sea that was running carried the Kencumber on to the end of the breakwater. She was badly damaged, and drifted on to the beach. Captain Arderson and a seaman named Walm were washed overboard and drowned. The remainder of the crew and passengers reached the shore safelj in one of the ship's boats. The Kencumber has broken up.
