JOHNSONVILLE SALE. By Telegraph—Special to Wairarapa Age. JOHNSONVILLE, October 20. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on then- Johnsouville sale as follows:—There was a full entry of bullocks of prime quality, but these were dull of sale, and showed a considerable decline on late rates; We quote as follows:—Beef at 235, best bullocks £9 to £9 17s Gd, others £8 5s to £8 15s, light £7 12s Gd. There was a fair yarding of sheep, including a line of extra prime wethers, and a line of shorn wethers. Extra good wethers £1 Is Id to £1 Is 4d, others 18s lOd to 19s lid, light 16s 6d, ewes 14s Id to 15s C-d, shorn wethers 14s lOd to 15s 2d. PAHIATUA STOCK SALES. By Telegraph—Special to Wairarapa Age. PAHIATUA, October 20. At the stock sales to-day, held by Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company, Ltd., there was a good yarding of all classes. The attendance was good, and bidding was especially brisk. Several lines of surplus sheep from Tripe Bros', property, at Mangamaire, which were undoubtedly a good lot, well woolled and in first-class condition. Their 4-tooth wethers brought 14s lid, ewe hoggets 13s 2d, dry ewes 10s lid to 13s 9d. Other-pens:—Hoggets lis Gd to 12s, culls G3 9d to 7s Gd, two 4-tooth ewes 10s sd, forward ewes 10s, fat and forward wethers 14s 9d. Cattle—Eighteen month heifers 28s, springing heiters 65s to 82s Gd, fat (empty) 52s 6d, cows in profit 130s, eighteen month" steers 35s Gd to 40s, 3 and 4-year bu;locks in poor condition 80s; bulls 60s to 80s.
