A Bill has been introduced in Parliament to improve the local option principle. The provisions include registration of existing barmaids, and the prohibition of the employment of any more after the passing of the measure. EIGHT HOURS DAY. AN UNSYMPATHETIC PREMIER. Mr Wade, the State Premier, gave an unsympathetic reply to a deputation asking for the introduction of a Bill providing for the application of the eight-hour principle wherever practicable. ADULT SUFFRAGE BILL. Received October 15, 10 a.rr.. MELBOURNE, October 15. , In the State Assembly, Sir Thomas Bent, the Premier, introduced an Adult Suffrage Bill.
