EXCELLENT BIDDING, CONTINENTAL BUYERS ACTIVE. BY TELEGHAPH —FBESS ASSOCIATION. Received October 13, 12.15 p.m. LONDON, October 12. At the wool sales bidding was excellent at the highest level of prices. The catalogue chiefly comprised merinos. Continental buyers were very active. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., have received the following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., dated October 12th, 1908:—The market shows a downward tendency, except for the best descriptions of medium to fine greasy crossbred, which show no material change, and good combing greasy merino, which has advanced 5 per cent. Compared ,with the opening rates, scoured merino has declined 5 to 74 per cent. and scoured crossbred 5 to 10 per cent. The market is very irregular.
