WLLINGTON ACCEPTANCES. IJi¥ TELEGRAPH -PJIESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, October 13. In the list oe acceptances for the Wellington races, telegraphed yesterday. Remission, Bst, was omitted from the Waimii Handicap, and Moriarity, Bst 71b, from the Shorts Handicap.

The acceptances received for the Wellington Meeting should ensure a successful gathering. Class is especially well represented in the prin • cipal events, and the racing is sure to be highly interesting. The Rimutaka Hack Handicap will bring uut jroud gallopers in Crucinella, Whetumarama, Hereward, Voetgang and tflue, Ribbon, and a fine race should result. Seven experienced hurdlers will contest the Hutt Park Hurdles, in which Exmoor, a double winner at Wanganui, will have to meet good light weights like Lyrist, Snip and Paparaohi. The Wellington Handicap, of one mile and a quarter, will ireate a very widespread interest from the fact that California, Zimmerman, ar.d Gold •Crest will meet over a distance ct.. t should the tirsi-iioined wiii, i.is hut -■ porters will then w n-1° '<, that he is the champion they consider him. The San Fran colt will be set a decidedly hard task in giving Zimmerman, who is top weight in the New Zealand Cup, one pound in weight, and a proved horse like Gold Crest! three pounds. The race should be worth travelling a long distance to ■witness, for several other horses in the race , such as Sir Frisco, Glenullin, San Julie, and Silken Rein are capable of making the top weights gallop. The Shorts Handicap will give the public mi idea of the chances of some of the perform ers, that are in the Stewards' Handicap at the Canterbury Jockey Club meeting. Seventeen have been paid up tor in the Wellesley Stakes, of five furlongs, and a splendid lot will include Elysian, winner at Hawke's Bay, Avondale, Provocation, Xylophone, Tawhaki, Bliss and Somersault. Masterton will be represented by Mr J. Cress' Kilcheran filly, Kiltie Lass. The Wainui Handicap acceptances include four JM.Z. Cup horses, Grand Slam, Uhhndo, Moloch, and Mallet. Under welter weights a good sterling race should be witnessed.
