Captain Yhert, the sole survivor of twenty-six of the crew of the French schooner Juanita, wrecked at Newfound'and, tells a thrilling narrative of the fate of the victims. * He alone floated on wreckage. Two dogs which accompanied him soon became famished and attacked him. He managed to kill the two poor animals, one by drowning.
