LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. By Telegraph—Abridged from Press Association Report, WELLINGTON, Octobers. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 o'clock. The Attorney-General reported that the conference of manage's on the amendments made by the Council in the Arbitration Bill had been unable to come to an agreement. The Workers Compensation Bill from the House was read a first time. The third reading of the Public Bodies Lea?e= Bill was agreed to. The Council adjourned at 4.35 p.m.
