Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report as follows:—We held our Taratahi and Masterton sales on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, of this week, when stock well above advertised numbars. At Kopuaranga we quote as follows: —Hoggets, 9s to 10s lid; 2 and 4-tooth withers, Is 3d to 13s lOd; ewe hoggets, good line, 17s; springing heifers, £2 to £3 10s; empty cows. £2 to £2 ss; steers and heifers, 33s to 355. Pigs, 355. Taratahi Sale.—Ewes and lambs, 15s; black face hoggets, 6s 6d; hoggets, 8s Id; springing cows, £2 14s to £4 10s; springing heifers, £3 10s to £4 2s Gd; 2-year-old steers, £2 17s 6d; 3-vear old steers, £4 17s 6d; fat cows, £3 17s to £4 10s. Masterton Sale. —Hoggets, lis 3d to 12s 7d; ewes and lambs, 12s to 12s 7d; 2-year-old steers, £3 2s 6d to £3 10s; to 3 year old steers, £4 lis; 3 and 4-year steers, backward condition, £4 2s 6d; yearling steers and heifers, 363; good line of 2-year-old steers, £3 lis. Good porkers, £2 2s.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report at their fortnightly stock sale yesterday :r-The entries in sheep were confined to hoggets, a good line of mixed sexes running up under competition to lis 9d. In cattle a few pens of stores offered, 2 to 3year steers making £4 llg; 2-years, 60s to 70s; yearlings, 20s to 30s; dairy cuw's, guaranteed, up to £5 7s 6d ; others £4. Best weaner pigs up to 16s; medium, 13s to 14s. Draught gelding, £2B.
