The Wellington Presbytery has decided to nominate the Rev, J. Jolly as Moderator of the General Assembly for 1909-1910.

Cr Brook has resigned h'S seat on the Woodville Borough Council, on account of his removing from the district.

Dobbie, who ha" been sta ionmaster ac Woodville for the past nine years, is to be transferred to Invercargill. His successor is not yet announced. Mr D". K. Logan, solicitor, of the firm of Gawith and Logan, Masterton, was married at Manakau on Tuesday afternoon last to Miss Curtic, daughter of Mr J. J. Curtis, of Manakau.
