IRENE AINSLEY CONCERT.
Miss Irene Ainsley and her Con* cert Party will give a concert in the Town Hall on Monday evening next. It will be remembered that this gifted young musician left Auckland four years ago to study in Europe, and whilst there ( was heard by Madame Melba* who became so enraptured with the beauty of her voice that she has since 'supervised the whole of Miss Ainsley's studies. It is now some eighteen months since Miss Ainsley's memorable debut concert in the Bechstein Hall, London, when their Royal Highnesses, the Prince and Princess of Wales, were present, and the young contralto was accorded a most extraordinary enthusiastic reception by the greatest critics of the day. Since that concert Miss Ainsley's career has fceen a most brilliant one, and she has appeared at various times with the greatest artists of the world. Miss Ainsley has brought a strong concert company with her, including Mr Hamilton Hodges, the favourite NewZealand baritone. The box plan will be opened at Miss Rive's on Thursday morning.
