OTIRA TUNNEL WORKS.
REPORTED LABOUR TROUBLE. THIRTY MEN ON STRIKE. The Commissioner of Police, yesterday, received a telegram from Otira" Gorge to the effect that thirty men had gone on strike at the tunnel works. Messrs John M'Lean and Sons, on being communicated with, said that they were entirely ignorant of any trouble at the works. The latest information received from Otira on Monday night made no mention of any trouble of any sort, existing or pending.
