WAIRARAPA P AND A SOCIETY.

A meeting of the General Com-' mittee of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society was held on the Showgrounds at Carterton yesterday afternoon. There were twenty-four members present, and Mr H. R. Bunny, President, occupied the chair. It »vas decided that ths question of' allotting space for bee 3 for the demonstrator of the Government expert (Mr J. of handling bees, be left to the Ground Committee. Mr Hopkins has handled bees at fourteen Auckland Shows, and will give the same demonstration at the Carterton Show, as has been given at other places. It was resolved to ask Mr Hayward, of Christchurch, to judge the light horses. One resignation was accepted, and eight members elected. It was resolved to endorse the President's action in allotting a gold medal in the Champion Holstein Class in place of a certificate. It was decided to ask implement manufacturers to exhibit at the Show, and to advise , them that one firm had already made'entries. A sum of £4O was granted to the Ground Comm-ttee for the purpose of placing extra cattle stalls on the grounds. Several members signified their willingness to help in erecting the stalls. It was resolved to thank Mr McKenzie, of the Taratahi Dairy Factory, for the valuable assistance he has offered in connection with the cheese classes.
