DISASTROUS FLOODS.
HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. Received .September 30, 9 a.m. •.CALCUTTA, September 29. There have been disastrous floods ;at Haidarabad, in the Deccan, with ■heavyi]os3 of life. Fifteen inches of rain fell in 36 >hours.
October 1, 1.5 a.m. September 30. The Musi River overflowed its shanks at Haidarabad. and flooded the Residency and overwhelmed the suburbs of Afzulyanj, where the Nizam's hospital collapsed, burying a number of patients in the ruins. Hundreds of natives have been drowned or killed. The damage amounts to .£1,250,000.
