The Musi River overflowed its shanks at Haidarabad. and flooded the Residency and overwhelmed the suburbs of Afzulyanj, where the Nizam's hospital collapsed, burying a number of patients in the ruins. Hundreds of natives have been drowned or killed. The damage amounts to .£1,250,000.
