A MARATHON RACE.

Received September 29, 12.38 a.m. ROME, September 28. The Marathon race, organised at Milan by the newspaper "II Recolo," attracted eight hundred entries. The doctors would not allow three hundred of these to compete. Rosi, a Milanese youth, won the race in 54 minutes 6 seconds. Dorando refused to have anything to do with the race owing to dissensions.
