MR HASKELL RESIGNS, DENIES CHARGES AGAINST HIM. Received September 28, Urn. NEW YORK, September 27. Mr Haskell has resigned tjhe treasurership of the Democratic National Committee and the Governorship of Oklahoma, but has de* nied that his resignation amounts to an admission that President Roosevelt's and Mr Hsarst's accusations—that he was a tool of the Standard Oil Trust—were correct. Received September 28, 1&40 p.m. NEW YORK, September 28. Mr W. J. Bryan has written to President Roosevelt denouncing' his partisan use of the President's office in order to gain a Party advantage and advance the interests of his personal friends and political protege.
