Mr Haskell has resigned tjhe treasurership of the Democratic National Committee and the Governorship of Oklahoma, but has de* nied that his resignation amounts to an admission that President Roosevelt's and Mr Hsarst's accusations—that he was a tool of the Standard Oil Trust—were correct. Received September 28, 1&40 p.m. NEW YORK, September 28. Mr W. J. Bryan has written to President Roosevelt denouncing' his partisan use of the President's office in order to gain a Party advantage and advance the interests of his personal friends and political protege.
